Worst Sabbath album ever.
Previous to Black Sabbath, he was the lead singer of Episode Six, the second lead singer of Deep Purple, the lead singer of the Ian Gillan Band, and the lead singer of Gillan.
Look - that produced the classic era Rainbow stuff, but Sabbath were too heavy for that.

In addition to the 2-track single "Out of My Mind / Holy Water" released in 2011, the 2-CD album contains in addition to previously recorded songs from various bands, rarities and unreleased material as well. Far and away the worst Sabs Lp and I'm a big Ian Gillan fan...awful vapid lyrics, awful muddy production, few if any great Iommi riffs and a back cover that looks like it was laid out as a junior high graphics project. Only bad thing is that this is unofficial release, but at least it is cheap one!!! Reviewer William Clark of Guitar International gave the album a positive review, saying "The wondrous contributions by Ronnie James Dio, Glenn Hughes, and by members of Metallica, Repo Depo, Iron Maiden, HIM, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath should make nearly every hard rock and heavy metal fan weak at the knees!".

Don't get me wrong, RJD era had some great songs, but he was always up in the rafters with his lyrics, no matter who he was working with. 9 Songs.
Of course, this album is not for everybody, but I think this is one of the best solo works Gillan. Contains some of their best work, bringing the lyrics back to earth after RJD's #too fantasy for Black Sabbath# work. I doubt this differs from the 'Australasian' pressing.
