Dead Uruk Captains not coming back or being replaced with new Captains? Not sure what the trigger was though. I assumed if no other orc was taking that spot then those captains would come back at some point but i haven't seen them resurrect after countless rounds of promotion. It's the "Cheat Death" mechanic. I wanted a olog body guard and didnt have one but had the dead … I found a temporary fix, but it's situational. Completed game, lvl 60, post shadow wars, 97% overall completion and there's still a lvl 8 dead guy, a lvl 12, lvl 18, etc. The orcs head is in a spike surrounded by 3 other skulls. But his dead body has been occupying the space of the fort .

I did thought about the possibility that its still alive in the map, but i scoured everything and still no signs of him, Its bugging me where i will try to dominate all orcs but having this one spot this silly orc is lying annoys me. a new bug ?

Sometimes it take many times passes for them to go away, I don't think that mechanic is fully worked out yet.
But his dead body has been occupying the space of the fort .

you need to progress time on one of them building instead of just traveling to there. Do you get new captains in the Challenge Mode or is it an elimination mode? ive moved on already but hope they fix it if its a bug for others xD.
it replaces the orks with a whole new, complete, army on the first area map ... any runes that have dropped during the campain that you havent collected will still be there, and I think that any runes that drop during the challenge will carry over to the campaign map if you don't/can't collect them during the challenge. My bodyguard killed a captain who betrayed me .

I could be wrong but, 10 for 10 unreplaceable captains have ambushed me.

They can't be resurrected and I can't deploy a market captain in their place (the new market captains will duel an existing one for its spot rather than occupy the dead captains place). Don't you have to be kiled by an orc to get that slot taken? Dead Captains Not Being Replaced I have two slots that show dead Captains just lying there. I'm not sure what the head with the spikes means, for awhile I thought it meant that they werent truly dead.

Dead captains not removing from army board? Thats basically how Im finding out who IS going to come back and who isnt.
got this long dead captain i killed, his body is still there >.< want it removed so new captains can move up ranks They take a while to go away.

Chances are he is still alive, but just waiting for an apt time to ambush you. I think if you kill a captain, without decapitating them, they can come back, and the head/spike avatar is what you'll see in the Sauron's Army screen ... but, again, I'm not 100% sure. That spot has not been replaced for a long time and I've died quite a few times already and also fast forward the time too.

Its a bug a lot of people are having issues with this, I finished the game 2 days ago including the Shadow Wars. All rights reserved. if you assign a follower from the garrison, it will take one of those places. Just go around screwing around and maybe you'll get lucky. Sometimes the orcs are still alive hiding somewhere waiting to try and enact vengeance.

You have to trigger the right event for him to come back. If that guys is hiding, then he is damn good at it. It's a bug, same ♥♥♥♥ here.
I think its because they have a chance of coming back, they do eventually go, I had a dead guy occupy a spot for 7 hours of play only to return back to life missing a leg and an arm, I don't know why the bodies stay there but I do know the fastest way to get rid of them is to get yourself killed by normal Uruk's so that when they're promoted to captains they're forced to replace the dead body space.
[Bug/Glitch] So I’m in the Shadow Wars and have had my fair share of nemesis’s and stories with them but for some reason whenever I’ve killed certain Uruks they stay dead on the Army screen. My bodyguard killed a captain who betrayed me . Still, he is still lying there dead. You could always pick an enemy you want to take its place and let them kill you. I really dont think this is a bug.
Every single orc that I could not replace HAS come back.
