I stand by my pretty negative opinion of Defense Heroes in general. How could the the Meta have shifted so quickly? Find detailed discussion of meta, esports and events as well as guides, advice, and tips that go beyond the basics.
In the Overwatch League, analysts will look at the previous two weeks of hero play data, and if a hero is played more than 10 percent of the time, they’re eligible to be taken out of the rotation. Similarly, it was not hard to guess that D.Va would see a boost in Usage, given that every change she received was an objective Buff to her Hero Kit. Try him out, before Blizzard turns their all-seeing Nerf-Eye towards Discord Orb.
How will players know which heroes are out of rotation for the week? Can the Milwaukee Bucks Improve This Offseason? Zarya should also see a boost in usage with the Buff to Ana for the same reasons I gave above. But don't forget about Widowmaker. He can hold a team together and simultaneously crush an opposing one in a matter of seconds. Mei is tier 2 at the absolute worst right now and Diva is played in almost every match in the gold/plat level. And Zenyatta in T4? How long will heroes remain out of rotation? Zenyatta: B Tier. Sorry for the double comment but also move lucio upto tier 2, hes played so much in owl for a resona. Also sorry if my long post came across as angry or mean spirited, I really didn’t mean it that way, I’m just passionate and wanted to explain my opinion. Her Coach Gun is brilliant at knocking away incoming threats like Winston and Genji, while her Dynamite can damage enemies through shields which is perfect for sieging chokepoints. I see no hope of escape from the F Tier without a significant Balance Change. It wasn’t uncommon for high level teams to switch between the two styles of play or even scout ahead at the start of a map to see if there were any counter picks they could throw in the mix to gain that slight advantage, this particularly was a popular method amongst professional teams. Transcendence > sound barrier, discord is very strong, and you can harmony orb your mercy to keep her alive. Widowmaker T5? She can toss out shields on speed-boosted flankers to escort them to the back line, shield herself to establish a forward position, and bust heavy Defenses with her Ultimate. Ok look moira is often laughed at by pro players and even gm players, her being tier 1 is far from it, shes got good healing and has dps but others not that much else and is closs range, id even put him at tier 3. A place for in-depth discussions of Competitive Overwatch™ (the team-based shooter from Blizzard Entertainment).
Artist's interpretation of Bromas' reaction to Soldier's Meta Position. Again, I totally whiffed on Mercy and underestimated how strong Zenyatta would become with his increased survivability. Keep an eye out for Ashe, as she can leanly one-shot an Echo with a damage boosted headshot. If it wasn’t obvious enough, the OWL playoffs are filled with these compositions as well, making no one safe from the craziness that is the double off-tank meta. His invulnerability aura is also a brilliant way to cancel out strong AoE abilities, in particular, Sigma's ultimate.
You need a coordinated team and a specific composition to pull off a Bastion play, something which doesn't come naturally when queueing up in solo queue.
Ever since she launched, Orisa's struggled to break out of a mid-table position - until now. I expect Ana to skyrocket in the coming week to at least B Tier, possibly A Tier due to the increase in her firing rate. This week’s Swaps Data painted a pretty accurate picture of the overall procession of matches for the most part.
Atleast tier 2. For me, Sombra is very overpowered. D.Va has also seen a return to Dive compositions against Echo. We’re not relying on Hero Pools alone to change the meta—it’s a tool for us to use, and we’ll adapt to things as they change. Also zenyatta can be played pretty defensively because of his high range and the possibility to heal your teammates from a very far away range. Against coordinated teams, her ultimate can struggle to get value, which keeps her out of the top tier. Roadhog's hooks still deliver pick potential, but with the sheer number of shields out there on the battlefield right now, it's landing the hook successfully which is the real problem.
The third edition of our tier-by-tier evaluation of the Overwatch hero roster for Season 21. Torbjorn: F Tier. Hearthstone: Descent of Dragons guide.

Having said that, we encourage you to play the characters you enjoy and excel at above all else, and at the same time try to work around the hero picks of your teammates - even if you disagree. This leaves this Report’s Meta as an intermediary Meta -- a stepping stone on the way to what may come in this Post-Ana world. ©2020 Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. All rights reserved. Scott Mercer: We get feedback from our players about how the meta doesn’t change often enough. Find more information below about getting Overwatch on your preferred platform.*. The saddest addition to the lowest tier is the main-man himself, Reinhardt. On the other side of the gun, McCree mains maintain that McCree's buff and Ana's lack of mobility gives her a ticket straight to the dumpster, but Nanoboosted Genji mains beg to differ. Genji’s success in the 7 Day Meta has immense implications for the coming weeks especially given Ana’s new buff, expect many more boosted Dragonblade play of the games in the immediate future. Speaking of which, McCree. Since the heroes being taken out will be the most used, I don’t know if you’ll ever see someone like Torbjörn taken out of rotation. As Overwatch continues forward, it’s safe to say that from a meta perspective, we’re in a pretty good place and although no one can predict the future, we’re fairly excited to see where it’s heading.
Will McCree reach the S Tier next week?
McCree received what seems to be a small change -- a reduction in his falloff damage. Spin for the idea. Overall, look for these heroes to maintain the same style of play as the ones in Tier 1, just with slightly less oppressive kits.
Over the years Overwatch has seen many meta shifts, and with BlizzCon 2019 on and the announcement of Overwatch 2, we take a quick look back at how this meta has evolved over time. Later the Shield Meta would see a resurgence as more characters like Osira would be released with shield abilities, synergising with Reinhardt’s ol’ faithful. Finding the right balance with the characters in this tier is tricky, but certainly doable. Here's how to get the new Legendary Mercy skin. We've put together an annual reader survey. These changes were geared towards toning down the times where a player loses control of their character. This tier list is terrible. […] We are now at the 22nd season of Competitive Play in Overwatch, and the meta has changed drastically. We want to mix it up. Oddly enough, one of those possibilities is a double off-tank meta in solo-queue.
