For me the Astros are better because they have so much custom EQ support. The Astro A40/A50 ear cups and clamping force, are unsurpassed in the comfort department, and surely that has to be up there as a major requirement of a headset?. The A40+Mixamp is wired and needs no charge but furthermore, you have an inline mute button for your microphone which I personally consider far superior to the "flip to mute" function of the A50. A50s all the way, the sound is so similar, and the build quality is great on the new Gen 4’s. In the end I do prefer my Astros because I feel the EQ's give me that competitive edge but I have a hard time recommending them to friends at that price point and knowing they will have at least some of the many issues. If there were the ability to have both the wireless A50s AND the MixAmp Pro, I'd pay for that. My A40s were good.
