Film Festival Review I think this is one that everyone has heard, but I like it. Then this little genius jewel of a thing showed up and I just pursued it very avidly. And not surprisingly, she did offer support as the “Voice in the Woods” for Lucky’s next feature starring Agnes Bruckner called THE WOODS. As mentioned, she had Roman in 2006, but she also helmed a segment in the 2012 anthology THE ABC’S OF DEATH. It might be nice to have a giant, giant nest egg. Lucky HATED it.
It's gotta go the other way.
Also starring Kristen Bell and TOOLBOX MURDERS writer Gierasch, it was intriguing to see this kind of change in relationship between Lucky and Angela. It’s a very universal feeling to feel unsafe as a woman, and I think that was what the intent of the story was for me, especially when I first started writing it, to sort of talk about the universality. That’s not to say there isn’t gore and violence, but it’s a subdued, maudlin sort, and as such, Bettis eventually seems a bit underutilized. The panel goes aside and "talk-talk-talk-talk" and they come back and they say, "We've decided that yes, it can be edible." Yes, it’s set in 1999, but the picture quality doesn’t necessarily suggest it more than it depends upon the period as an excuse for its veneer. I... don't... want to do it because I really, really don't want to sign away my soul to Satan on a television 7 year contract.

Little does nurse Mandy (Bettis) know how chaotic her double shift at an Arkansas hospital one inconsequential day in 1999 is about to become. The actress continued to share an exciting working relationship with her MAY director. ANGELA BETTIS: It's so fucking fun to do that stuff! Before Natasha came on, I had taken it out a few places and there were various actresses interested in it who seemed like they would be self-help book authors to me, and they made more sense. SKIP OVER IT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW!
In 2013 she joined Criminal Minds for an episode as well as a two episode appearance on Skins. I always just followed what she’s been doing and when we were talking about 12 Hour Shift and who would play the role of May, we knew we needed someone really grounded. ANGELA BETTIS: Absolutely. And for Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans, you also had the incomparable Drusilla, the lovely Juliet Landau in the mix. I know you’re from Texas, so I’m wondering, what was your inspiration for this story and the characters? email: Ms Bettis wanted some of my body parts. The sad thing about experiencing violence or trauma as a woman is that when you tell other women about it, they all nod knowingly, because we’ve all been through it.
In 1998 she was featured in the series Legacy and in 1998 she was Touched by an Angel. It's PASSWORD and the Queen Mother is on the show.
And speaking of fandom, I am one, and I have a feeling that this amazing talent isn’t finished scaring audiences.
Those are some examples. Although nobody can touch the incredible work by Sissy Spacek in the original Stephen King adaptation. As a massive fan of the original feature from director Brian DePalma, I wasn’t a huge fan of the small screen version. Gravitas Ventures' ALIEN ADDICTION Lands on VOD September 29th! QUINT: Dammit!!!
I wanted to know about MAY and plus I think she's gorgeous. As far as explorations of the cruelty of grifting healthcare situations and the resulting human collateral damage, this should have more effectively mainlined empathy for at least one character (which is why J. Blakeson’s 2020 title I Care A Lot ultimately feels so irksome).
They want to turn it into a series, so they just offered me an extension on my contract.
Aside from being an enormously talented actor, her occasional work as a director is a huge bonus. There’s not a woman who can say that she hasn’t been followed down the street or been scared by something.
I also have to mention that I love Hitchcock. Karen and Mandy find a potential patient who doesn’t have any friends or family then inject them with bleach and harvest organs sought after by a nefarious ring of criminals run by Nicholas (Mick Foley). QUINT: MAY went over amazingly well at Butt-Numb-A-Thon and every review I've seen come out of Sitges and Sundance were all glowing. In fact, I would have been one of those people that was like, "Down with Carrie remake on NBC for television!"

Yet it was that particular year that gave Angela horror credibility.
Such bad scripts come across my table, as is what happens in LA. If Lion's Gate sees a big response this weekend, then the word is they'll release it a little wider (to places like New York and LA), then wider and wider until it's playing across the country. Plus, as you'll read below, she's not afraid of speaking her mind about the bullshit of Hollywood, which always makes for an entertaining discussion.
I love the Jack Nicholson THE SHINING.
I have a lazy eye, too, but it goes the other direction and he was like, "No!

QUINT: So, you didn't order it to kill anybody, right? Even if I do do the contract that doesn't mean it'll go.

You shouldn't do it. Directed by Lucky McKee (THE WOMAN, ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE), this disturbed tale of obsession got under most horror fans skin. Angela Bettis’ Contributions to Horror.

My review was almost as gushing as Harry's, which is no small feat.
It's all up in the air.
